Introducing the crown flowers (pua kalaunu) lei pareo. There are always butterflies and honey bees dancing around when you go out to gather crown flowers, and that magical pop when picking a bud never gets old for me! It’s just another reason this unique flower is one of my favorites. Knowing that pua kalaunu also held a cherished spot in Queen Lili'uokalani's heart adds an extra layer of meaning and significance.
